Finance Officer (part time)
Part time Finance Officer - 16 hours a week
Permanent role with hybrid working - £25K - £28K pro rata

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer.
You will have experience working in a similar role, and critically you will consider yourself a confident and capable Finance Officer, who can work using your own initiative.
On a day-to-day basis you will be involved in, but not restricted to, the following duties:
Bookkeeping to trial balance stage
Purchase and sales ledger management - including processing all invoices and payments, managing credit control, and ensuring payments are made on a timely basis
Completion and submission of quarterly VAT returns
Bank reconciliations
Collation and processing of payroll information
Submit Nest pension calculations - manage staff pension contributions
Process staff expenses
Record financial transactions
Monthly management accounts preparation including all month end journals - Prepare financial reports for monthly Performance Review and Management meetings
Manage projections and cash flows
Assist with financial calculations on tenders and grant applications
Prepare annual accounts and liaise with external accountants
Completing tax forms and other statutory requirements
Providing administrative and clerical support as required
Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by the directors
You will have the following experience and skills:
Experience of using Xero accounting software, payroll and accounts
Knowledge of MS Office packages, especially Excel, and Google Docs
High level of accuracy and attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognise errors
Mathematic skills for accurate record-keeping
Administrative skills for filing financial records
Multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
Interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers, suppliers and other employees
Communications skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms
Knowledge of regulatory requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
