Perceptive relaunches ‘Improving Lives’ initiative to support charities

Perceptive Communicators is offering free training to qualifying charities

Perceptive has launched its ‘Improving Lives’ initiative for 2026

Award-winning communications consultancy, Perceptive Communicators, has announced the launch of its ‘Improving Lives’ initiative for 2026, offering free communications training to charities.

Building on a strong legacy of charitable support, Perceptive has provided the equivalent of £10,000 per year in assistance to charitable organisations over the past five years. As part of this commitment, every employee at Perceptive dedicates a full day to supporting chosen charities.

Perceptive Communicators has a clearly defined mission to support organisations that improve lives and transform futures. This free communications support is targeted at charities focused on alleviating child poverty, tackling homelessness and improving health outcomes. Previous beneficiaries have included Simon Community Scotland, Simpsons Special Care Babies, Action for Children, and Cancer Card.

Support to date has included communications strategy development, stakeholder influencing, media relations, social and digital media marketing. This year’s initiative will take a new approach as Perceptive will provide expert-led training across a range of communications topics, including media and messaging, public affairs, networking and social media, equipping charities with essential skills to amplify their impact. Training sessions will be delivered in person at Perceptive’s Glasgow office on 3 September 2026.

One of the charities which has already benefited from the Improving Lives initiative is Simon Community Scotland.

Director of Services and Development, Hugh Hill, said: “Since 2017 we've been delighted to have the support of the Perceptive team in shaping and communicating what we do. They are a team who obviously share our values and desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

“From the outset the team has enabled us to increase our reach and impact resulting in not just more donations and partnerships but the right kind. They have been hands-on in supporting us to meet the challenges of people who have very complex lives and often low expectations of services.”

Julie Moulsdale, Managing Director at Perceptive Communicators, added: “We have a clear purpose to improve lives and transform futures. We do this every day with our clients in the built environment, science, technology, and leisure sectors. Over the last two decades, we have supported six different charities, providing over £50,000 worth of support. In these tough times, we are pleased to contribute our expert communication skills to help charities supercharge their efforts to achieve their goals through improved communication skills.”

Charities interested in accessing this free training are invited to complete a brief questionnaire to determine eligibility. For more information visit perceptivecommunicators.co.uk/improvinglives
