Briar Homes joins Yellow Yogis fundraising drive for Beatson Cancer Charity

A team from Briar Homes will join thousands of people at Glasgow’s SEC next month for Yellow Yogis, one of the UK’s largest indoor yoga sessions, helping to raise £250,000 for Beatson Cancer Charity.
Led by Briar Homes Director Gillian Quigley, a keen yoga enthusiast, the team will take part in the mass yoga event on 13 September alongside colleagues including Charlotte. Briar Homes is supporting the event as a Silver Sponsor, joining businesses and individuals backing the fundraising drive for Beatson Cancer Charity.
Yellow Yogis was created to bring people together for one of the UK's largest indoor yoga sessions, with the event designed to be accessible to people of all levels and abilities. Participants will take part in a one-hour class led by internationally recognised yoga instructor Finlay Wilson, also known as The Kilted Yogi, with television and radio presenter Jenny Powell hosting the event.
Funds raised through Yellow Yogis will support Beatson Cancer Charity's Wellbeing Centre at The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. The centre provides emotional and practical support for people affected by cancer, offering a space away from clinical areas where patients and families can relax, socialise and access supportive activities.

As someone who enjoys yoga myself, I’m particularly looking forward to getting involved and bringing the team along for what should be a brilliant day at the SEC.

Briar Homes is also fundraising ahead of the event, with donations supporting Beatson Cancer Charity’s work. The company has set up a JustGiving page with over £500 raised so far, already exceeding the fundraising target, linked below.

The Yellow Yogis event takes place at the SEC Glasgow on 13 September. Participants will receive a Yellow Yogi mat and entry to the one-hour class, alongside other activities taking place throughout the day.
