Perceptive Communicators is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our team.

Key responsibilities

  • Support team to deliver PR, communications and social media strategies for clients to help them achieve their organisational goals within the allocated resources and budget

  • Proactively identify and help deliver media and social media opportunities from editorial calendars, including creating new opportunities for clients and Perceptive  

  • Manage status reports, agendas and call notes for client accounts 

  • Write and distribute news releases on behalf of clients and Perceptive

  • Create written, image and video content for social media, presentations, reports and documents to a high standard using tools like CANVA

  • Research and monitor industry trends and issues for our specialist sectors of science, technology, leisure and built environment

  • Work with best-in-class media monitoring and distribution software to create effective media databases and capture coverage efficiently

  • Create and maintain relationships with target media on behalf of clients

  • Support Perceptive profile raising, including identifying relevant events, speaking and media opportunities and opportunities on social media 

About you

The ideal person will be a driven communications executive who is keen to make a difference by using their skills to improve lives and transform futures through our work with clients in science, technology and the built environment.  We are looking for someone proactive and passionate, with experience of helping businesses meet their organisational goals through effective PR, communications, and social media campaigns.

You will bring experience of delivering great client results that help them achieve their goals. You will also have an interest in the built environment, science, leisure and technology sectors which are improving lives and transforming futures. 

You will also be able to demonstrate balancing your work on multiple client accounts, consistently meeting deadlines to deliver high quality work. 

  • Two years’ communications work experience in a PR, communications, and social media role is required, preferably within an agency

  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate complex content into compelling copy across a variety of channels 

  • Great energy, flexibility and team spirit (no divas at Perceptive!) and willing to pitch in to help colleagues as well as clients

  • Fantastic time management skills, delivering excellent results within allocated timescales and ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively 

  • Social media savvy with experience of creating social media content for multiple platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok

  • Interest in and awareness of current affairs and the political landscape

  • Driving licence and access to a car for work if/when necessary
