Perceptive teams up with Cancer Card to provide pro-bono communications support
Perceptive Communicators, the multi-award-winning Glasgow-based communications and PR agency, is teaming up with Cancer Card to provide pro-bono communications support after the charity’s successful application to the firm’s Improving Lives campaign.
Cancer Card was founded by Jen Hardy, who has stage 4 incurable breast cancer, to support those affected by cancer patients with a one stop shop to access relevant information, services, support and products.
Improving Lives gives Scottish charities such as Cancer Card the opportunity to access ten days of free expert support from the Perceptive team to overcome various communications challenges over 12 months. The allocated time can be used to access a range of communications support including strategy development, competitor analysis, media training, campaign planning, building a case for support and proposition development, social media training, PR, communications auditing and copywriting.
Perceptive has provided several charities over the last 16 years with pro-bono communications support, including Simpsons Special Care Babies, Action for Children, Simon Community Scotland, Action Aid, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice and Business Beats Cancer.
The agency will invite new applicants when Improving Lives 2023 launches late next year.
Julie Moulsdale, Perceptive Communicators Managing Director, said: “We had a record number of applications for our pro-bono Improving Lives support package, making the choice even more difficult. However, we were incredibly impressed by Cancer Card, their work to date and their plans for the future. Founder Jen Hardy is truly inspirational.
“All charities have been hit particularly hard over the past few years and that is why it is even more important that we continue our pro bono support. Communication plays a vital role in the success of charities and by harnessing our expert communication skills, we are pleased to help Cancer Card achieve its goals.”
Jen Hardy, founder of Cancer Card, said: “We exist to support everyone affected by cancer. A cancer diagnosis can be devastating and we can help by signposting to the support that exists for people at such a vulnerable time. With this expertise from Perceptive Communicators, we will supercharge our plans to support even more people affected by cancer.”
