Communications consultancy Perceptive Communicators scoops third award of the year

Glasgow-based communications consultancy Perceptive Communicators has won its third award this year, Managing Director of the Year at The Scottish Women’s Awards in Glasgow. This follows recognition as Property Team of the Year at The Herald Property Awards in September and Associate Member of the Year at the Homes for Scotland awards in May.

Julie Moulsdale, managing director and founder of Perceptive was recognised for commercial success, innovation, championing others in male dominated sectors, resilience and exceptional charity support. This follows recognition as best company with under 50 employees in 2018 at the same awards.

Perceptive client Dr Johann Partridge, Operations Director at MiAlgae was recognised this year as highly commended in the Science and Technology category. Marian McNeil, chief executive of Precision Medicine Innovation Centre was also shortlisted in the business of the year category at the awards.

Julie Moulsdale, managing director at Perceptive Communicators, said: “These awards showcase female talent and celebrate women supporting others. This is great recognition for our fantastic team and amazing clients who are improving lives and transforming futures every day. We took a deliberately different approach when setting up the business model for Perceptive in 2006, focussing on just a few sectors. This means we’re really knowledgeable with great connections and our team members are very experienced. We also put a big focus on supporting our team and charities. Many told me this would never work but we believed in it. We continue to take a different approach to achieve better results with our team for our clients. Thanks to the judges for recognising this.”

Marie McNair MSP, Scottish National Party representative for Clydebank and Milngavie, said: "The Parliament congratulates Bearsden constituent, Julie Moulsdale, for being awarded 'Managing Director of the Year' at the Scottish Women's Awards, which recognises and celebrates Scottish female talent. Julie is the founder of Perceptive Communicators, one of Glasgow's well-known PR agencies, which earlier in 2022 won 'Property Team of the Year' at The Herald Property Awards and 'Associate Member of the Year' at the Homes for Scotland Awards, following recognition as 'East Dunbartonshire Growth Business of the Year'."
