Soul Padel is on an ambitious growth journey in Scotland
Glasgow-headquartered specialist communications consultancy Perceptive Communicators has secured a new client appointment with Soul Padel, strengthening its growing leisure portfolio as the business continues to celebrate its 20th anniversary year.
The appointment, which followed a competitive pitch, will see Perceptive provide strategic communications and PR support to Soul Padel, a UK-based padel operator on an ambitious growth journey. Perceptive will use its expertise to build brand awareness and develop Soul Padel’s profile in Scotland as it brings one of the world’s fastest-growing sports to more people. The partnership will focus on building recognition and engagement around the brand while helping communicate its distinctive approach to making padel more accessible.
Founded in 2023, Soul Padel currently operates four venues across the UK, including its first Scottish location at Braehead, Renfrew, which opened in June 2026. With further Scottish clubs planned for Ayr, Dalkeith, Midlothian and Irvine in 2027, the business is targeting significant expansion as interest in padel continues to grow.

Lesley Ferguson, Deputy Managing Director of Perceptive Communicators, said: “Soul Padel is an exciting addition to our leisure portfolio, particularly at a time when Scotland’s padel market is gaining momentum and there is a real opportunity to shape the conversation around the sport.
“What stands out is the ambition to create a community around the sport, with accessibility and inclusion at its heart. We’re looking forward to helping tell that story, build the brand’s profile and support its plans for growth across Scotland.
“As we continue our 20th anniversary year, it’s fantastic to be adding ambitious businesses like Soul Padel to our client portfolio. We have a strong track record of supporting organisations across leisure and hospitality, and this appointment reflects the value of strategic communications in helping businesses differentiate themselves, connect with their audiences and achieve their commercial goals.”
Mark Hewlett, CEO and Founder of Soul Padel, added: “We’re at an important stage in Soul Padel’s growth as we establish ourselves in Scotland and prepare for further expansion. We want to build a brand that people recognise not just for the quality of our clubs, but for the community and inclusive approach we bring to the sport. Perceptive understands the opportunity ahead and will play an important role in helping us raise awareness, engage new audiences and establish Soul Padel as a leading voice in Scottish padel.”
