Major milestone reached at Strathmore Meadows as Campion Homes unveils new Japonica showhome

Multi-award-winning homebuilder Campion Homes has reached a major sales milestone at its Strathmore Meadows development in Meigle, Perthshire, with over 75% of properties now released for sale and more than 50% sold.

To celebrate the development's ongoing success, Campion Homes has officially unveiled its newest showhome, the five-bedroom Japonica.

Priced from £415,995, the Japonica marks another creative collaboration with long-time interior design partner Signature Interiors. It joins the development’s first showhome, the Azalea, which recently won both ‘Showhome of the Year’ and ‘Best Family Home’ at the annual Herald Property Awards.

Named Homebuilder of the Year (Medium) at the 2026 Homes for Scotland Awards and holding a 5-star customer satisfaction rating, Campion Homes designed the Japonica to deliver generous, versatile living options across two floors.

The ground floor features a private, bay-windowed lounge at the rear of the property, creating a tranquil retreat separate from the main living areas. A bright, open-plan kitchen and dining space opens onto the garden via French doors. The ground floor layout also includes a double bedroom and adjacent shower room, offering an ideal setup for a self-contained guest suite, family room or study.

Upstairs, the Japonica features four additional double bedrooms, a family bathroom and two en-suites. The primary bedroom suite includes a dormer window adding character, an en-suite bathroom and dedicated space for a dressing area, study or hobby area.

Signature Interiors styled the Japonica's interior palette to balance rich seasonal tones with natural finishes:

  • Living & dining areas: Neutral sofas layered with deep cranberry, plum, and rich green accent cushions. The spaces combine woven cane and light wood furniture, striking abstract artwork incorporating earthy tones and textured wooden accents.

  • Primary suites & bedrooms: Plush upholstered headboards in velvet cranberry and forest green, complemented by light oak furnishings, statement circular mirrors and abstract wall art carrying the green and cranberry theme throughout.

  • Family & children’s rooms: Versatile spaces styled with bespoke themes, including a timber-panelled gamer room concept featuring vibrant artwork and a dedicated study space, alongside a twin bedroom adorned with soft floral wall stickers and muted pink and sage accents.

Sharifa Joy, Head of Sales and Marketing at Campion Homes, said: "Reaching over 75% of homes released and passing the 50% sold mark is a fantastic milestone for Strathmore Meadows. We are thrilled to introduce the Japonica as our newest showhome. It brings a completely unique layout to our portfolio, offering generous accommodation and flexible spaces that adapt to modern family life or those looking to downsize without compromising on room.

"Following the recognition of our Azalea showhome at the Herald Property Awards, opening the doors to the Japonica showcases our ongoing commitment to 5-star build quality and design excellence."

Situated in the village of Meigle, Strathmore Meadows features a selection of 16 distinct, energy-efficient house styles ranging from three to six-bedroom homes. The location offers access to the Grampian Mountains and Cairngorms, while maintaining connections to Perth and Dundee, meaning residents can have the comfort of rural living within easy commuting distance to larger towns and cities.
