Award-winning Glasgow-based communications consultancy Perceptive Communicators has made six key appointments to support its business growth. Perceptive is also celebrating winning the Associate Member of the Year award at the 2022 Homes for Scotland Awards on Friday (20 May).

The new roles include Perceptive appointing its first director responsible for strategy and insight, along with a new account director, PR account manager, admin manager, finance manager and appointing Lesley Ferguson as deputy managing director.

Lesley Ferguson joined Perceptive in 2008 and has successfully progressed through several roles within the company, most recently as communications director. Lesley deputises for Julie Moulsdale as managing director as well as leading several client accounts.

Michelle Burns moves to a new role of director of strategy and insight. Michelle, who has led several client accounts for almost four years, will now be responsible for providing strategy and insight support across all accounts and in the built environment, science and technology sectors - Perceptive’s specialist sectors of expertise.

Stuart Young has joined as account director and is a communications professional with more than 10 years of agency and in-house experience. Stuart joins Perceptive from 3x1 Group.

To support growing client work, the consultancy has also employed a new PR account manager, Amy Groden. Groden moved from the McConnell Group this month, where she oversaw all communications activities to promote the construction firm’s growth in Scotland and London.  John McLauchlan joins as administration manager and Leanne Shaw has been appointed as finance manager.

Julie Moulsdale, managing director at Perceptive Communicators, said:  “Despite the pandemic our clients have stuck with us, have given us new work and recommended us to their contacts, resulting in strong growth for us in our specialist sectors of science, technology and the built environment. We have strengthened our structure with these appointments. Lesley and Michelle are both very talented and long standing members of the team, so we are pleased to support their development and the growth of the business with their appointments. We have always had a real focus on results, so these new roles will ensure we maximise our client outcomes and provide insightful strategic input that supports this approach.  We are really pleased to welcome talented individuals like Stuart, Amy, Leanne and John to their new roles to support current and future growth.

“Over the last couple of years we have chosen to focus on our team, clients and our business rather than enter awards, so to win the Homes for Scotland Associate Member of the Year without even entering is very special recognition and much appreciated. We are very engaged with our clients and the sectors we support and this strong endorsement by Homes for Scotland is a great reflection of how we support our clients and our specialist sectors in achieving their desired outcomes.”
